Phelps Eye Care also performs OCT (optical coherence tomography) scans to ALL patients over 18 years of age to screen for glaucoma. As the baby-boomer generation reaches retirement age, glaucoma and macular degeneration are becoming exponentially more prevalent, and early detection equals a better prognosis. The test only takes 2 minutes and gives you peace of mind knowing whether or not you are at risk.
